What our clients are saying about us

Working at Avalon Studios is always a treat. They pull out all the stops to make sure you get what you need, while taking a particular interest in supporting emerging Filmmakers and balancing them with their more commercial Clients. Avalon offered exactly what Lowdown Dirty Criminals needed, their professionalism and positive attitude means we can’t recommend them highly enough.

I’ve worked on several projects at Avalon Studios now and its quite simply a pleasure. The team are fantastic and able to make things work, whatever your needs. With the extensive facilities on hand its so much easier to produce complex projects while keeping cast and crew happy.

The Studios, facilities and people out at Avalon have been a godsend for me and my projects on every level. Indeed we’ve based my last three feature films out of the studios – utilising every nook and cranny and spreading out to locations in Wellington, the Hutt Valley and beyond.

Creatively and technically, the place is up to the task because it’s truly a purpose built studio – not a converted warehouse. Emotionally, it’s great that the team there have such a can-do attitude to everything we’ve thrown at them. Two thumbs up from me.

I produced the first series of Wellington Paranormal out of Avalon and it was the perfect place for our needs. We had a fantastic production office which also doubled as our police HQ set, while the various sized studios gave us the ability to shoot everything from a small interrogation room in Studio 9 to a huge cornfield in Studio 8. The large, accessible workshop was also great for our busy art department as was the spacious makeup room where our team created all sorts of paranormal creatures.

Avalon is a world-class facility that caters for everything you could possibly need, and the friendly Avalon team can’t do enough to help make your shoot go smoothly, whatever your budget.
