What our clients are saying about us

I can’t remember the last time I made a Film in Wellington and wasn’t based at Avalon? And to be honest I don’t ever want too again. I love Avalon as they cater for every size of Production, whether you have a bigger crew that needs Studio space or a lower budget or Location budget. Working at Avalon takes the stress out of starting up the Production Office as they do everything for you and are so accommodating throughout the Production. For Location shoots Avalon is an incredible base due to the variety of Locations only a short distance from the Production base.

For Bladerunner 2049 Miniatures we took Studio 8 for months, it was able to accommodate all the ‘big’ miniatures seamlessly including the ability for us to move out to the Workshop for scanning. For Mr Corman we took over the whole of Avalon which was key to allow flexibility during filming. We had multiple locations in a day, so we were able to have back up for inclement weather as well as moving from an interior set up over to Green Screen or LED Car work seamlessly. The spaces from Production Office down to Cast Rooms make it an ideal space for any Production. Highly recommended

Avalon Studios is such a great facility for Film-Makers at all levels. I’ve always appreciated working in purpose built sound stages that are 100% focused on servicing each projects specific needs. Knowing the Team who run the facility will also go the extra mile when creative solutions are needed is also a drawcard when in production. I always look to Avalon Studios as an option when pitching projects as I know and trust everything, they offer could be the perfect fit for the right show.

The Studios, facilities and people out at Avalon have been a godsend for me and my projects on every level. Indeed we’ve based my last three feature films out of the studios – utilising every nook and cranny and spreading out to locations in Wellington, the Hutt Valley and beyond.

Creatively and technically, the place is up to the task because it’s truly a purpose built studio – not a converted warehouse. Emotionally, it’s great that the team there have such a can-do attitude to everything we’ve thrown at them. Two thumbs up from me.

I produced the first series of Wellington Paranormal out of Avalon and it was the perfect place for our needs. We had a fantastic production office which also doubled as our police HQ set, while the various sized studios gave us the ability to shoot everything from a small interrogation room in Studio 9 to a huge cornfield in Studio 8. The large, accessible workshop was also great for our busy art department as was the spacious makeup room where our team created all sorts of paranormal creatures.

Avalon is a world-class facility that caters for everything you could possibly need, and the friendly Avalon team can’t do enough to help make your shoot go smoothly, whatever your budget.
